New mantra. No thoughts.

I have recently tried this new technique. It helps to manage anxiety, over thinking (rumination), excessive worrying and instantly returns you to the present. All you do is stop thinking.

You literally tell yourself “stop thinking”, or “no thoughts”, as word “stop” may contain too much resisting energy, and you keep repeating it gently, calmly and confidently until it happens and there is not a shred of thought left in your mind. Empty. Just clear, still mind, at peace, like the surface of a lake on a summer day. Oh, what bliss!

Just now, just present, no worries or concerns, no what if planning, no future scenarios or reliving past experiences, just here and now. Calm and peace and stillness. NO THOUGHTS.

  1. Yes, a technique I use daily. Especially when trying to sleep.
