Nature’s sacred geometry. I’ve been obsessed with seeing fractals in vegetable and fruit slices lately, while choosing wall art for my dining room. In the end, I went for the macro prints of fruit slices done in O’Keefe style, but I found Sally Rich’s take on fruit still life (above) amazing. Oh, I also wrote this:
I cut a slice of kiwi
And in the luminous green sphere
Saw the dawn of the universe –
Molecules, atoms, fractals.
I cut a slice of tomato
And seen the spirit heart –
Infinite love radiating towards me.
I found God in a slice of strawberry
And multifactorial beauty
In a slice of watermelon.
But yes, call them fruit,
As if they are not Godβs artwork.
