Walking to The River @idushchij_k_reke

A Russian video blogger called Serzh Dur Dachnik created this masterpiece years ago. I don’t proactively follow Russian content, however, TikTok algorithm made sure a short clip of this monologue in English found me.

Serzh, short for Sergei perhaps, is walking to a river somewhere in Russia to enjoy a sunset. What Serzh shares in a couple of minutes is what takes folks decades of meditation, Buddhist study and/or structured psychedelic explorations to realise.

As someone in the comments says: “first you laugh at his videos, then you think about his videos, then you agree with him, then you find yourself walking to the river, then you are river.” 😊 Full video in Russian can be found here.

PS: Russians often use swearing as a literary form, so both videos have heavy swearing in them, albeit AI seems to have removed most of it during translation into English.

Swearing as a literary form? That’s news to me. Never thought about it. Anyways, you’re right, he made quite a point.

haha Kamus, you are right! Russians made it into an art form! It’s not a well-known fact but many classical Russian poets, like Yesenin, wrote some poems mostly in swear words, for fun I guess 🙂
