In my recent post about stress I have discovered that apparently stress has same physical symptoms as courage (this is not scientific but seems plausible enough), so in some cases it may make sense to reframe feeling stressed as being brave. I’ve already used this trick a couple of times actually, during those fight or flight situations, and it works!
Interestingly, same week I ran into another post with a different albeit also interesting angle on stress. I see a lot of stressed people at work, maybe that’s why my selective perception is picking up these posts. Should We Spend Time Like Money? is an amazing post by Stefan Klein who says one amazing thing:
We are not stressed because we have no time, but rather, we have no time because we are stressed.
This quote has literally overhauled my perception of prioritisation and ‘being busy’, at work and home. I now take things easier to be more productive and at peace.
Hope you are not feeling too stressed this weekend, and if you are, try reframing it as courage, if applicable, and see negativity evaporate as a result, or if you are running around trying to manage to squeeze everything into one day, pause and reflect on the quote above. Have a nice weekend!
