Surviving Blue Mondays

Last Monday was a nightmare.

The weather was horrid (although probably not as bad as those of you affected by snow storm in the US and Canada). Commute went wrong – a man under train (I only later connected it to Blue Monday, oh 😦 ). First day at work after holidays. Busy but in a fog (all last week). Little one got ill again and refused to fall asleep until midnight… Oh Universe.

It was a so called Blue Monday, first day after holidays, when it’s grey, you are sleepy and back to work and out of money. Life seems at its worst.

I’d seriously call last week Blue Week, not just Monday.

So this post is going to be straightforward – here is to surviving Blue Mondays whenever they strike. Please do not get to the point where jumping under the train seems like a solution. Life is not easy when it’s winter but there is always another day and something to look forward to.

Sending you my hugs. Hold on. Listen to some good music. Eat something nice. Write down 5 things that make you grateful. Meditate. Read a good blog/ book. Have a glass of whatever you fancy. Take it easy. Above all remember – IT WILL PASS.

Before you know, it’s Tuesday already 🙂
