Best Meditation Apps: Happiness On The Go

I wrote about meditation before. I discovered it this year and I never looked back. I have been doing the simple one where you just focus on breathing. I then did one where you chant, loved it. And I notice the effects. It’s easier to take things easy. It’s easier to control emotions. And I feel lighter, no knots of tension, no heaviness of resistance.Β

So I am taking it to the next level. I did consider a class and I even met the meditation teacher in the area I live, but as a fully employed person who is still on probation period and has a small child, I realised I would just not be able to carve out an hour in the evening for meditation.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Hello, meditation apps. And here is the best post ranking and describing them.

I’ve already tried Simply Being, but I have been advised to try Headspace which is ranked as No 1 in the list above. Buddhify, other than being a good name, also looks interesting.

I now meditate while commuting to/ from work and it’s amazing, just 5 or 10 min is enough to recover, empty the mind and let go. I am thinking of doing a retreat to take my meditation to the next level but for now the apps will do.

Take time out for yourself, to rediscover inner peace and calm. As they said in one of the apps, it’s your gift to yourself.

Have you heard Lou Reed’s meditation album? It’s on spotify and is actually quite good, in a gentle feedback and distortion kind of way.
