Reflecting on the year end and welcoming the new year

It’s that time of the year when we think back and plan ahead. How was your year, fellow nomads?

Whereas the main themes for me remain Peace, Freedom and being grateful for the present moment, I like to reflect on the past year alongside six dimensions: Family/ House, Health, Spirit, Work, Fun, and Service. If you want to see what I’ve been up to, read on. Otherwise, above is an excellent list of prompts from LonerWolf to help you reflect on your year. I, for one, am looking forward to the new year and seeing what it brings. Happy holidays!

What I did in 2024:

  • Family/ House: Never-ending DIY but house looks nicer. Nature and days out. Prioritising peace.
  • Health: Started going to the gym. Did ashtanga yoga. Learned about perimenopause and skincare.
  • Spirit: Prioritised peace. Stuck to a daily ritual of meditation. Continued studying kriya yoga.
  • Work: Finally, earned enough from doing what I love — writing — to pay bills!
  • Fun: Went to Crete with the boys. Watched lots of TV and film. Did more long walks in nature. Went to art exhibitions and music concerts. Read a lot.
  • Service: Volunteered for three organisations. Continued to donate to peace- and mental health-related causes.
