“Prince of Flowers”

Source

Posting about the mysterious Greek/ Egyptian statue the other week made me wonder about this Aztec figurine that I found online ages ago. It is believed to depict Xochipilli, whose name in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, means “Prince of Flowers.” The figurine is holding mushrooms in each hand.

I finally found its source.

It is in the National Museum of Anthropology of Mexico. It is described as just a figurine, so likely not Xochipilli. Still, pretty cool! I really like it. I need to find someone to make a copy of it for me or go to Mexico to see it in a museum 😊
