In the next two weeks everyone – from brands to people, from politicians to entertainers – will be taking stock of 2015 and thinking about 2016. What have I accomplished? Where am I going, and what’s next? This year I’ve been asking myself these questions a lot and hope to reflect on them here at some point in the next couple of weeks, if I won’t succumb to the holiday coma and end up watching too much Luther and overeating instead.
I have lots to share with you – I finished Lissa’s book on overcoming fears, I’ve started drawing and a storytelling course with Future Learn… I want my next year to be all about creation – art and writing, and a powerful technique to overcome fear of imperfection and failure in this regard is to remind yourself of the things you’ve done already. I wrote and designed my first book of poems when I was 11. I made a Youtube video with my friends which I want to share with you (it’s a cartoon). As a reminder to myself that I can do it and hopefully as an inspiration for you to go away and create something beautiful, something full of love, or at least plan to do so in 2016.
